I trust that everyone had a good holiday and managed to eat healthy - NOT :-)

If you did, great and if you didn't that's ok too. With the start of a new week, its a new opportunity to get back on track. The weather is still cooperating w/us for the time being so you can still get outside and get a nice brisk walk in if the treadmill is not for you so there is no excuse.

2012 will be here next week and I'd love to hear some resolutions, even if they don't relate to fitness.

Well, its been a few days so I hope that everyone didn't take that to mean you stop moving :-)

With the holidays upon us, I know it gets harder and harder to make time to get the workout in, but please remember its even more critical to get it in since you will more then likely be eating and drinking more.

Sorry I have been MIA the past few days, with my back injury and trying to find a job I've been so busy and taking a break from the gym. However, tomorrow is a new day and I will be back in full effect first thin in the AM. Hope you'll join me.

Listen to you body.

I've been MIA hut I have been faithful to my workout! I have a minor injury so I'm at the doctor now to make sure all is well. It's so important to listen to your body by taking a few days off if necessary or altering the workout. Hopefully I will be cleared to run before the weekend I may go crazy if I can't get my miles in.

Monday, Monday!

Hello and welcome to another week. Good news is, if you're reading this you have been blessed enough to see another day. Bad news is, its holiday season which means eating, drinking and no time to workout.

I challenge you to keep your priorities in order in the next few weeks by making a commitment to eating right top on your to do list. I know its hard, but you can enjoy the holiday season and stay on track even if you have one day off track just get right back on the next day and move forward.

Have a fabulous week and remember, keep moving the weather is still decent enough to hit the road for a walk or run even if its a short one.

Sunday's Are for Relaxing - NOT!

I disagree! Sunday's are great for getting a nice good workout in before starting your busy week. I find that the gym is less crowded so you can get in what you need to and take your time doing it. With that said, after you get through praise and worship, it should be off to the gym you go to get the temple that God gave you right so you can praise Him for many more years to come.

Better late then never :-)

I had ever intention on checking in earlier since I workout at 7am this morning, did you get your workout in today? We have been blessed yet again with Spring like weather so I hope that you at least got a 10 minute walk in.

Tomorrow is Saturday so for my weekend warriors have a great workout and go hard or go home!

More Holidays!

One more day left in the week and the fun begins. So glad the rain has ended and the good weather is back. This morning was a bit chilly and I'm sure if you're anything like me you were tempted to stay in the bed?

Now that the weather is getting colder that's more reason to keep moving so we don't put the extra pounds on this winter. If you're busy with holiday shopping, remember that you're health is more important so you can spend more years on this earth with your family celebrating the holiday. So, today's motivation is good health so we can continue to spend time with the people we love.

When your off schedule

Good afternoon, hope everyone had a good day and got some form of exercise in today. My schedule was a bit disrupted today, I was unable to hit the gym this morning. Good news, I was able to get my workout in this afternoon but felt a bit sluggish.

Today's lesson, get the gym and motivation will come even if you're sluggish and end of feeling better afterwards.

Love Sundays!

Sunday's are my best days, I head to early church service and I'm at the gym by 10am and its never crowded so I can get done whatever I need to. Bigger questions is, why isnt anyone there on Sundays? Unless its for religious reasons, Sunday is the best day for you too to hit the gym and hit is hard.

I hope that everyone enjoyed their day and is ready to hit the gym this coming week. Remember, preparation is the key to consistency. Plan your workout and put it down on paper or at the minimum create one in your mind so you can execute it tomorrow.

Today is gym etiquette day due to the fact I just witnessed someone have a 10 minute conversation while sitting on a machine that is a no no in the gym world. To top it off she had her towel and water occupying the flat bench so nobody could use that either.

Please be conscience of others who may want to use machines.

alternative workout

so, today I didnt make it to the gym but that didnt stop me from working out. I got the yoga mat and ankle weights out and did what I call my old school workout which included push ups, squats, lunges and abs.

Just because you cant get to the gym doesnt mean you cant get a good workout in. keep moving, until tomorrow.
